Thorntons is seeking a Shift Leader in Joliet to supervise on-shift operations, ensure safety, and coach team members. You will manage inventory, cash handling, and adherence to policies while supporting training and development of staff.

You will lead multiple shifts, balance tasks, and help maintain Thorntons’ food and beverage program with up-to-date standards. Strong guest service and compliance mindset required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food certifications preferred.
• Experience in guest service or retail is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as shift lead in absence of store management with assigned tasks.
• Deliver guest service with a helpful attitude and look for delight opportunities.
• Practice safe working habits and report safety issues to management.
• Adhere to laws on restricted sales (alcohol, tobacco, lottery).
• Prepare fresh food following food safety standards and records.
• Maintain cash handling and account for discrepancies during shifts.
