Job summary

Caribou Coffee in West Fargo, ND seeks a Shift Leader to guide daily store operations in partnership with the General Manager or the Assistant GM. You’ll ensure brand standards, product knowledge, cleanliness, and guest connections are upheld during the shift.

You will lead shifts, coach team members, manage cash handling and safety, and drive guest satisfaction while maintaining a welcoming coffeehouse environment.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of leadership experience.
• Flexible availability including different days/times as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates mastery of every Team Member responsibility with confidence, enthusiasm, and excellence
• Leads shifts with an unwavering commitment to Make Fun Happen — keeping the team engaged, the energy up, and the shift on track
• Optimizes product sales while effectively managing waste and maintaining an inviting, well-executed coffeehouse environment.
• Knows the day’s deployment and the roles tied to it, communicating clearly on the floor to keep the shift moving
• Takes ownership of the current shift and sets up a smooth hand-off for the shift that follows
• Owns the decision-making that comes with being Manager on Duty, staying resilient and calm under pressure
• Trains new team members on role responsibilities, product knowledge, and promotional items
