Thorntons is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee store operations and guest service on assigned shifts in Kentucky. The role requires leading the team when management is absent, ensuring safety, inventory control, and compliance with cash procedures and food standards.

The candidate will train team members, use suggestive selling, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer care while supporting store goals and company policies.

Qualifications

• Provides leadership on shift when Store/General Manager is absent.
• Delivers guest service with a proactive, helpful attitude.
• Follows food safety requirements in food preparation and handling.
• Adheres to laws regarding restricted sales (alcohol, tobacco, lottery).
• Maintains stock, uses cash handling procedures, and documents cash/merchandise discrepancies.
• Engages guests with suggestive selling and promotes loyalty programs.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety across store operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-shift leader in the absence of store management.
• Oversee inventory, cash handling, and shift reconciliation.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies.
• Train and coach new team members on procedures and products.
• Support scheduling, task delegation, and shift coverage as needed.
