Job summary

Caribou Coffee is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily operations alongside the General Manager, ensuring brand standards, guest connections, and smooth shift execution.

You will coach team members, manage tasks, handle cash and safety procedures, and maintain a welcoming coffeehouse environment while delivering friendly, efficient service. The role requires strong communication and accountability to support the guest experience and store performance.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience in a leadership role or trained for Shift Leader duties.
• Flexible availability to support business and team needs.
• Must be at least 18 years old; HS diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates mastery of Team Member responsibilities with confidence and excellence.
• Leads shifts with energy, ensuring engagement and on-track performance.
• Optimizes product sales while managing waste and maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Communicates deployment, roles, and shift priorities clearly on the floor.
• Delegates objectives, tasks, and ensures smooth hand-offs between shifts.
• Upholds SOPs, cash handling, and store safety standards.
• Coaches and trains teammates on responsibilities, product knowledge, and promotions.
• Performs timely administrative tasks including deposits, inventory, and orders.
• Develops Team Members through coaching and feedback, upholding core values.
• Acts as Manager on Duty with calmness under pressure and growth-minded leadership.
