Job summary

Caribou Coffee is seeking a dedicated Shift Leader to guide daily operations and lead the team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will partner with the General Manager to uphold brand standards, ensure product quality, and maintain a clean, inviting store environment.

This role emphasizes coaching, accountability, and smooth shift transitions across the team. The ideal candidate brings leadership experience, flexibility with shifts, and a customer-focused mindset to support growth

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of leadership experience or properly trained and approved to take on Shift Leader responsibilities.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates mastery of every Team Member responsibility with confidence, enthusiasm, and excellence.
• Leads shifts with an unwavering commitment to Make Fun Happen — keeping the team engaged and the shift on track.
• Optimizes product sales while effectively managing waste and maintaining an inviting coffeehouse environment.
• Knows the day's deployment and the roles tied to it, communicating clearly on the floor to keep the shift moving.
• Reads the needs of the team, delegates objectives and tasks accordingly.
• Takes ownership of the current shift and sets up a smooth hand-off for the next shift.
• Ensures adherence to standard operating procedures and Caribou's quality, cash handling, and store safety standards.
• Coaches and trains the team in the moment on responsibilities, product knowledge, promotions, and guest requests.
