Job summary

Thacher Restaurant Group is seeking a Shift Leader to help run daily restaurant operations, coach team members, and uphold service standards.

You will support the General Manager and Assistant Manager, lead shifts, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining food safety and operational excellence.

This growth-oriented role offers leadership development, required certifications, and opportunities to advance to Assistant Manager as you build your leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year restaurant, retail, or leadership experience preferred.
• Food Handler Certification
• Experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Reliable attendance
• Available to support business needs

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations and support restaurant performance.
• Coach and encourage team members during each shift.
• Lead by example and promote a positive team culture.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are maintained.
• Monitor ticket times and help deliver orders within quoted readiness times.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed to keep teams and guests safe.
• Support cash handling and ensure company procedures are followed.
• Assist with opening, closing, and shift changing responsibilities.
• Communicating restaurant needs and maintenance concerns to management.
• Help train and develop new team members.
• Step into any position as needed to support the success of the restaurant.
