Potbelly Sandwich Works is seeking a Shift Leader in NYC to supervise and develop associates, ensure high product quality and customer service, and control costs on each shift. The role requires leading opening/closing duties, enforcing safety standards, and executing the marketing plan to boost sales within the shop.

A Food Safety Certification is required, with wage based on experience. The position is nonexempt with a typical 40-hour work week, and candidates should be able to stand for long

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Minimum educational requirement: High School degree.
• Must be able to pass a Food Safety Certification course (national/affiliate depending on state).
• Ability to comprehend and communicate in English via verbal and written communication.

Responsabilités

• Lead Associates on shifts, including assigning tasks, providing feedback and training.
• Know and support appropriate personnel policies, labor laws and safety procedures.
• Ensure all security procedures are executed (safe procedures, open/close procedures).
• Lead shifts to open, transition, and close without supervision; manage line and duties.
