Job summary

Velvet Taco is hiring for an energetic shift leader with a passion for guest service and team leadership in Dunwoody, GA. You will manage hourly team members, handle opening/closing duties, and ensure food safety and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have leadership experience in a restaurant, familiarity with POS operations, and the ability to multitask during peak hours while upholding Velvet Taco standards and culture.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 2 years of experience as a Shift Leader/Supervisor in a Restaurant Environment.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on Restaurant needs.
• Regularly exposed to heat and/or humid conditions.
• Lunch and dinner rushes require multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Handler's Certification and is comfortable working around food.
• Alcoholic Beverage Service Certification and complies with regulations.
• Dexterity to handle tongs, pots/pans, and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Hourly Team Members and interacts with Guests in a friendly, professional, and responsive way.
• Executes opening, mid, and closing duties daily following Velvet Taco’s standard procedures and recipe guidelines.
• Skilled at handling Guest concerns and guiding them toward a positive resolution.
• Adept at cash-handling, setting up POS drawers, performing comps and voids, and managing deposits during the shift.
• Presents self as a leader among the Team Members and motivates others to follow procedures with urgency for a positive Guest experience.
• Skilled at de-escalating issues between Team Members and ensuring everyone feels heard.
• Supports Management with the inventory process.
• Keeps food safety a high priority during the shift by line checks, shelf storage and expiration dates, and keeping the restaurant clean.
