Velvet Taco in Chicago is seeking a reliable Shift Leader to guide hourly team members and ensure a top-notch guest experience. You will open, run, and close shifts, handle cash, and monitor POS operations while upholding Velvet Taco’s recipes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older and have 2+ years of Shift Leader/Supervisor experience in a restaurant.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Proven leadership and guest-service skills with a calm, professional demeanor.
• Food Handler's Certification and Alcoholic Beverage Service Certification preferred.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Manages hourly team members and interacts with guests professionally.
• Executes opening, mid and closing duties following procedures and recipes.
• Handles guest concerns and guides to positive resolutions.
• Performs cash handling, sets up POS drawers, and manages deposits.
• Supports inventory and maintains food safety standards during shifts.
