Job summary

Velvet Taco is hiring a Shift Leader/Supervisor for the Las Colinas/Irving area in TX. You will manage hourly team members, assist guests, and ensure daily opening, mid, and closing procedures align with Velvet Taco’s standards.

This role requires at least 2 years as a Shift Leader or Supervisor in a restaurant, ability to work nights and weekends, and a friendly, safety‑minded leadership style. Excellent pay and benefits accompany a dynamic team culture.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Shift Leader/Supervisor in a restaurant environment.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on restaurant needs.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Hourly Team Members and interacts with Guests in a friendly, professional, and responsive way.
• Executes opening, mid, and closing duties daily following Velvet Taco’s standard procedures and recipe guidelines.
• Skilled at handling Guest concerns and guiding them toward a positive resolution.
• Adept at cash-handling, setting up POS drawers, performing comps and voids, and managing deposits during the shift.
• Presents self as a leader among the Team Members and motivates others to follow procedures with urgency for a positive Guest experience.
• Skilled at de-escalating issues between Team Members and ensuring everyone feels heard.
• Supports Management with the inventory process.
• Maintains high food safety standards during the shift by line checks, shelf storage dates, and keeping the restaurant clean.
• Manages the daily prep list and signs off on all prepped items to ensure adherence to specifications and flavor profiles.
• Enforces safety guidelines (cut gloves, clean floors) and removes obstacles to ensure safe work and dining spaces.
• Communicates with guests in a friendly, welcoming way and embraces feedback and accountability.
