Job summary

Velvet Taco in Austin is seeking a dedicated Shift Leader to manage a fast-paced, guest-focused team. You will lead opening, mid, and closing shifts, uphold Velvet Taco’s standards, and ensure smooth operations while maintaining safety, quality, and a welcoming guest experience.

Responsibilities include handling cash, guiding staff, and supporting inventory and prep with attention to detail. This role requires flexibility for nights and weekends and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Shift Leader/Supervisor in a restaurant environment.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Food Handler's Certification and Alcoholic Beverage Service Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage opening, mid, and closing duties according to Velvet Taco procedures.
• De-escalate guest concerns and provide positive resolutions.
• Handle cash, set up POS drawers, process comps and deposits.
• Support management with inventory and prep lists; ensure food safety and cleanliness.
