Job summary

Caribou Coffee is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily operations, lead a motivated team, and ensure brand standards are met on the shop floor. You will manage shifts, coach staff, handle cash processes, and maintain store safety and cleanliness.

The role emphasizes guest connections, product knowledge, and the ability to adapt to fast-paced service while delivering a great guest experience.

Qualifications

At least 6 months of experience in a leadership role, or properly trained and approved to take on Shift Leader responsibilities.
Flexible availability to support the needs of the business and the team.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates mastery of every Team Member responsibility with confidence and excellence.
Leads shifts with energy and engagement to keep the shift on track.
Optimizes product sales while managing waste and maintaining a well-executed coffeehouse environment.
Knows the day’s deployment and roles, communicating clearly on the floor.
Reads team needs, delegates objectives, and ensures smooth hand-offs between shifts.
Owns decision-making as Manager on Duty and stays calm under pressure.
Trains new team members on responsibilities, product knowledge, and promotions.
