Potbelly Sandwich Works is seeking a Shift Leader in California to lead a fast-paced team and ensure top-notch food quality and customer service. You will develop associates, drive sales, and manage costs for each shift, while upholding Potbelly values and safety standards.

You must be 18+, have supervisory experience in food service or retail, and pass all Food Safety requirements. Strong communication, problem-solving, and a customer-first mindset are essential for success in this role.

Competenze

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Must pass and obtain a Food Safety Certification; Illinois applicants must certify within 30 days of employment.

Mansioni

• Lead team members on shifts, including assigning tasks and providing feedback.
• Ensure all security procedures are followed.
• Maintain back-of-house procedural standards.
• Count drawers and follow cash handling procedures.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc.).
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Operate cash register and balance cash handling procedures.
• Effectively handle customer complaints/issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
