Jersey Mike's at PG1 Restaurants in Staunton, VA is seeking a Shift Leader to guide the team through busy shifts, open/close procedures, and keep our restaurant running smoothly.

You will lead a crew of 3–8, perform prep and station duties, uphold food safety and quality, manage cash and labor, and coach teammates to deliver great guest experiences. Join a positive, team‑first culture with opportunities for rapid promotion. Training provided from day one.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of QSR or supervisory experience.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification is a plus.
• Must be 18+ years old to operate the slicer.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to stand for full shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Shift Leadership & Operations: Key holder responsible for opening/closing procedures, running smooth shifts, and leading a crew of 3 to 8 team members during busy rushes.
• Food Quality & Prep: Certified across all restaurant stations—bake fresh bread, complete morning/daily prep, and slice meats and cheeses with precision.
• Standards & Accountability: Follow and uphold company policies, procedures, Core Values, and operating standards while holding yourself and the team accountable to the standard.
• Quality & Safety: Ensure every sub is made correctly (The Mike's Way) and maintain strict food safety, sanitation, store cleanliness, and guest service standards.
• Business Goals: Handle cash accurately, support labor control, inventory management, and shift performance goals.
• Coaching & Culture: Coach and mentor team members, handle guest concerns professionally, lead by example, and actively protect and promote our positive culture.
