Job summary

PG1 Restaurants is seeking a Shift Leader to join the Jersey Mike's family in Charlottesville, VA. You will lead the crew, ensure smooth shifts, maintain food quality, and uphold standards while coaching teammates in a fast-paced deli environment.

The role emphasizes opening/closing procedures, cash handling, labor control, and promoting a positive, professional team culture. Strong customer service and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or supervisory experience preferred.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification is a plus.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to stand for full shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Shift Leadership & Operations: Open/close procedures, run smooth shifts, lead a crew of 3–8 during busy times.
• Food Quality & Prep: Bake fresh bread, prep, slice meats and cheeses with precision.
• Standards & Accountability: Follow policies, Core Values and operating standards.
• Quality & Safety: Ensure each sub is made to standards and maintain sanitation and guest service levels.
• Business Goals: Handle cash, support labor control, inventory management and shift performance.
• Coaching & Culture: Mentor team, address guest concerns professionally, promote positive culture.
