Job summary

Jersey Mike's Subs is hiring a Shift Leader to join the PG1 Restaurants team in Blacksburg, VA. You will lead a small crew, ensure smooth shifts, and maintain safety and quality standards across all service areas.

You will be responsible for opening/closing procedures, food prep, and coaching team members to deliver guest-first service while upholding company policies and a strong, positive culture.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or supervisory experience preferred.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification is a plus.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to operate the slicer and lead shifts.

Responsibilities

• Shift Leadership & Operations: open/close procedures, run shifts, lead a crew of 3–8.
• Food Quality & Prep: bake bread, prep, slice meats and cheeses precisely.
• Standards & Accountability: follow policies and uphold Core Values and standards.
• Quality & Safety: maintain food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and guest service standards.
• Business Goals: manage cash, assist with labor control and inventory, shift performance.
• Coaching & Culture: mentor team members and protect a positive culture.
