Jersey Mike's Subs in Charlottesville, VA, is seeking a Shift Leader to join the Jersey Mike's family via PG1 Restaurants. If you are dependable, positive, hardworking, and ready to lead by example, we want to meet you!

You will lead the team, maintain standards, and ensure smooth daily operations across shifts while upholding food safety and guest service excellence. Training and fast-track promotion opportunities are available, with a culture that recognizes hard work.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older (required to operate the slicer and take leadership roles).
• Full open availability for all shifts, including mornings, daytimes, evenings, closings, and weekends.
• 1+ years of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or supervisory experience preferred.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification is a plus.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to stand for full shifts and move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Open/close procedures and lead a crew of 3 to 8 team members during busy rushes.
• Bake fresh bread, complete morning/daily prep, slice meats and cheeses with precision.
• Follow and uphold company policies, Core Values, and operating standards while maintaining accountability.
• Ensure every sub is made correctly (The Mike's Way) and maintain food safety, sanitation, store cleanliness, and guest service standards.
• Handle cash, support labor control, inventory management, and shift performance goals.
• Coach and mentor team members, handle guest concerns professionally, and promote a positive culture.
