Job summary

Jersey Mike's at PG1 Restaurants in Danville, VA, is seeking a Shift Leader to join our team. You will lead a 3–8 person crew, oversee opening/closing, and ensure smooth shifts with a focus on quality and speed “The Mike's Way.”

Qualifications

• Strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to stand for full shifts and move/transport up to 50 lbs.
• Reliability, dependability, and coachability in a team setting.
• Willingness to uphold standards and company policies.
• Experience in quick service or supervisory roles is a plus.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team and keep the restaurant running smoothly during each shift.
• Open/close procedures; manage a crew of 3–8 during busy rushes.
• Prepare across stations; bake bread and slice meats/cheeses with precision.
• Uphold policies, core values, and operating standards.
• Handle cash, assist with labor control, inventory, and shift goals.
• Coach and mentor team members and promote a positive culture.
