Job summary

El Pollo Loco in Lancaster, CA is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts and support the General Manager. You’ll lead the team, ensure fast, friendly service, and maintain food safety and cleanliness while delivering a fire-grilled experience that keeps guests coming back.

You’ll train staff on new products, adjust staffing to sales, and manage cash, deliveries and inventory under EPL standards. Growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ year restaurant supervisory experience.
• Pass EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant opening and closing procedures, including security protocols.
• Ensure customer service and speed of service metrics meet company goals and standards; maintain cleanliness, safety and QSC standards.
• Prioritize tasks and manage breaks; adjust shift staffing based on sales volume and guidance from Area Leader.
• Train and support team members on new products and operational procedures.
• Manage cash handling, deposits, and audits; ensure compliance with operational procedures while on shift.
• Greet and assist customers to ensure satisfaction.
