Job summary

El Pollo Loco in Torrance, CA is seeking a Shift Leader who will guide a team to deliver fast, friendly service and ensure smooth operations during your shift. You’ll manage opening/closing procedures, supervise crew tasks, and uphold safety and quality standards to create fire-grilled experiences for guests.

You’ll train staff on new products and procedures, balance staffing with sales, handle cash duties, and strive to meet guest expectations while supporting a positive team culture and career

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1+ year supervisory experience preferred.
• Certified on EPL SPECS or willing to complete FSA class after hire.
• Pass EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) after hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee opening/closing procedures and coordinate crew tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety per QSC and health standards.
• Balance staffing with sales, monitor service speed and customer satisfaction.
• Train teammates on new products and procedures.
• Handle cash and deposits, verify catering orders, and audit cash drawers.
• Greet customers and ensure a positive dining experience.
