Job summary

El Pollo Loco, Inc. is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts and to ensure exceptional customer experiences. You’ll lead a team, manage opening/closing, food prep, inventory, and safety standards while delivering friendly service and a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, training on new products, handling cash procedures, and collaborating with Area Leaders to maintain performance and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must supervise staff and ensure customer service standards are met.
• Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ years supervision experience and pass FSA.

Responsibilities

• Manage opening and closing procedures, security, setup, food prep and cleaning.
• Ensure service speed, cleanliness and safety per QSC standards and health codes.
• Prioritize tasks, manage breaks, adjust staffing based on volume, and consult Area Leader as needed.
• Train team members on new products and procedures.
• Handle cash drawer audits, deposits, and vendor/catering verifications during shifts.
• Greet customers and assist with orders to meet expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
