Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Works is seeking a Shift Leader to guide a fast-paced team, develop associates, and ensure outstanding product quality and service. You will manage shift operations, teach proper food safety, control costs, and help deliver a welcoming guest experience.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of supervisory experience in foodservice or retail, strong communication skills, and a customer-first attitude. You must be 18+ and pass state food safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Strong customer-service mindset and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Meet state Food Safety requirements and obtain certification.
• Willing to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift team and assign tasks to ensure efficiency.
• Ensure security procedures and health standards are followed.
• Handle cash and balance drawers accurately.
• Prepare quality sandwiches, salads and other menu items.
• Resolve customer issues and maintain clean, welcoming spaces.
