Job summary

Velvet Taco in Grandscape, The Colony, TX is hiring for a Shift Leader/Supervisor. Manage hourly teammates, engage guests warmly, and execute opening, mid, and closing duties per Velvet Taco procedures.

Lead by example, de-escalate issues, support inventory, and uphold food safety while keeping the dining area clean. Weekend/night availability required; must be 21+, with Food Handler and Alcoholic Beverage Service certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 2 years of experience as a Shift Leader/Supervisor in a Restaurant Environment.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on Restaurant needs.
• Possesses a Food Handler's Certification and is comfortable working around food
• Possesses an Alcoholic Beverage Service Certification and complies with all regulations

Responsibilities

• Manages the Hourly Team Members and interacts with Guests in a friendly, professional, and responsive way.
• Executes opening, mid, and closing duties daily following Velvet Taco’s standard procedures and recipe guidelines.
• Skilled at handling Guest concerns and guiding them toward a positive resolution.
• Adept at cash-handling, setting up POS drawers, performing comps and voids, and managing deposits during the shift.
• Communicates and delivers a friendly, welcoming, exceptional guest experience.
• Embraces feedback, is eager to learn, and takes accountability for their actions.
• Proficient in a fast-paced environment and manages time effectively.
