Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is seeking a Shift Leader in Illinois (Aurora) to lead a shift, manage a team, ensure product quality and customer service, and control costs. You will drive sales and maintain high standards in a fast-paced setting.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment, and pass a Food Safety Certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years old.
• A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• You meet all Food Safety requirements within your state and must obtain a Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts and assign tasks with feedback.
• Ensure security procedures are followed and back-of-house standards met.
• Count cash drawers and handle daily cash procedures.
• Prepare finished products efficiently (sandwiches, salads, soups, etc.).
• Restock, maintain cleanliness, and operate the cash register.
• Handle customer complaints and other duties as assigned.
