Job summary

Torchy’s Tacos in The Woodlands, TX, is seeking a Shift Leader to ensure each shift runs smoothly and delivers a Damn Good guest experience. You will balance hands-on involvement with guiding and supporting a team in both FOH and BOH activities.

You will lead shifts, may serve as a key holder, delegate tasks, and mentor team members to meet performance standards while ensuring food safety and cleanliness across all areas of the operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, guest service, and restaurant operations.
• Required state alcohol-server and Manager ServSafe certifications.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
• Open/close responsibilities as a key holder, including securing the facility.
• Delegate tasks to team members to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
• Engage with guests to address needs and concerns promptly.
• Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring team members to meet standards.
• Maintain knowledge of FOH and BOH processes, including recipe adherence, safety, and cleanliness.
• Support inventory management, proper prep levels, and line checks for quality.
• Oversee cash handling during opening and closing, ensuring accuracy.
• Complete health, safety, and regulatory checklists and resolve issues professionally.
