Job summary

Torchy’s Tacos in Austin, TX is seeking a Shift Leader to ensure smooth shifts and deliver a Damn Good guest experience. You will guide FOH and BOH teams, delegate tasks, and engage guests while upholding food safety and cleanliness standards.

You will lead with Torchy's values, mentor teammates, manage inventory and cash handling, and support safety compliance. This role offers growth and a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, guest service, and restaurant operations.
• Required state alcohol-server and Manager ServSafe certifications.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
• Serve as key holder for opening and closing the restaurant.
• Identify, prioritize, and delegate tasks to team members.
• Engage guests and address concerns with urgency and care.
• Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring team members.
• Maintain knowledge of FOH and BOH processes, including safety and cleanliness.
• Support inventory management and proper prep levels with line checks.
• Supervise cash handling during opening and closing activities.
• Complete health, safety, and regulatory checklists.
• Resolve guest or team issues professionally and escalate when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
