Job summary

Royal Farms in Lexington Park, MD is seeking a part-time Shift Leader to run store operations during shifts as the on-site leader in the absence of a senior manager. You will support customer service, food/beverage program execution, safety, and overall store performance.

The role requires strong leadership, supervisory and communication skills, and the ability to manage shifts, train team members, and ensure policy compliance. Flexible hours and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to encourage, inspire, and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure every customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment and product knowledge.
• Coach and support team members in delivering consistent, friendly service.
• Develop knowledge of current products, promotions, and initiatives; educate team members.
• Oversee shift operations as Person in Charge when senior leader is absent.
• Perform shift tasks including POS transactions, vendor check-in, and cash controls.
• Maintain compliance with policies, safety requirements, and store procedures.
• Ensure 24/7 execution of food service and beverage programs with high standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and report maintenance issues promptly.
