Job summary

Royal Farms seeks a part-time Shift Leader in Maryland to oversee store operations during on-duty hours, acting as Person in Charge when needed. You’ll drive customer service, product availability, safety, and shift management while supporting the management team to maximize sales and adherence to standards.

Responsibilities include leading front-line team members, managing POS and cash controls, ensuring food service execution, and maintaining a clean, compliant store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must possess strong supervisory and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to encourage, inspire, and develop team members.
• Minimum of 1 year of food service or retail management experience.
• ANSI-approved Food Safety Manager Certification recommended.
• Basic business math, accounting, computer, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full scope of shift operations as the Person in Charge when needed.
• Perform shift operational tasks including POS transactions, vendor check-in, and cash control.
• Ensure safety, security, and policy compliance across the store.
• Execute 24/7 food service and beverage programs with quality and cleanliness standards.
