Job summary

Walgreens in North Wilkesboro, NC is seeking a Store Associate to help open and close the store in the absence of management, handle cash, prepare the floor and stock room for the day, and assist with vendor deliveries.

You will greet customers, resolve questions, process returns, refunds, and cash drops, and maintain accurate pricing and signage across departments. This role supports inventory, displays, basic bookkeeping, and compliance with store policies.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Must be able to operate store systems and POS.
• PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management; handles cash and ensures readiness of floor and stock room.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested to cash registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolves issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Maintains accurate inventory counts and pricing signage; supports displays and seasonal resets.
• Assists with bookkeeping activities and basic department maintenance; ensures compliance with policies.
