Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area seeks a Shift Lead to support daily store operations. You will supervise staff, greet donors and customers, and uphold service standards while promoting the agency’s mission.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and retail or customer service experience. Supervisory experience and Microsoft Office proficiency are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English.
• Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.
• At least 6 months of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency is expected; CPR/First Aid certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store personnel during assigned shift to maintain standards.
• Greet, assist, and provide excellent customer service to donors and shoppers.
• Train and coach staff for career growth within the organization.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and safety policies; report incidents.
• Maintain store appearance, records, and timely reporting.
