Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area is seeking a Shift Lead for the Athens, TN store to supervise daily operations, support donors, and provide excellent customer service. You will help train team members, ensure shop standards, and maintain safety and confidentiality across the store.

The role is full-time and requires reliability, English communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a changing environment while supporting the organization's mission and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent English oral and written communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Reliable transportation and communication required.
• CPR/First Aid certifications required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store personnel during assigned shift to ensure standards are met.
• Develop, train, and coach associates for growth within the organization.
• Greet, assist, and provide excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Maintain store appearance and housekeeping to agency standards.
• Comply with SOPs and safety policies; attend required meetings and training.
• Attend safety trainings and report unsafe conditions or injuries immediately.
