Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistants in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role includes shift management in the manager's absence and leading the team to deliver excellent service to both retail and professional customers.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Strong communication skills and RSS certification are required; automotive knowledge and ASE certification are desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and execute programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders; contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases per procedure; use outside purchase ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges efficiently; issue refunds using correct payment methods.
• Invoice merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages; delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to posted schedules; clock in/out per policy.
• Perform opening/closing duties and secure money/deposits; prepare bank deposits.
