Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Salem, OR, is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role will also assume shift management when leaders are away and help run daily store functions.

Strong communication and the ability to obtain RSS Certification are required; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure program execution (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders timely; inform customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases per procedure with the external ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges efficiently; issue refunds using correct payment methods.
• Invoicing of merchandise including core charges and warranties before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure staff clock in/out per policy and adhere to posted work schedules; manage opening/closing duties.
• Perform day end procedures, secure money/deposits, prepare bank deposits, and secure the building and deliveries.
• Other duties as assigned.
