Job summary

Yoshinoya America, Inc. is seeking a restaurant supervisor to participate in daily food prep, cooking, plating, cashiering and guest relations. You will intermittently supervise others in the GM/AGM absence and back up crew during breaks.

You’ll ensure compliance with Yoshinoya specifications and safe handling, train staff, monitor shifts, and manage cash drops, deposits, and reporting as directed.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Speak effectively to customers.
• Perform basic arithmetic with US currency.
• Follow company procedures.
• Interact with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Participates daily in food preparation, cooking, plating, cashiering and guest relations.
• Supervises and directs others in the absence of the GM and Assistant Manager.
• Backs up crew and covers breaks as needed.
• Ensures food and beverages are prepared and presented to Yoshinoya standards and safe handling requirements.
• Completes reports as directed by the GM.
• Follows merchandise storage procedures including labeling.
• Responds to customer complaints per policy and notifies management for refunds.
• Trains staff and monitors activities, providing feedback.
• Rotates inventory using FIFO and ensures cash handling procedures are enforced.
