Job summary

Qualifications

• Fluent English (written and verbal).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Speak effectively to customers.
• Carry out basic arithmetic with dollars and cents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily food prep, cooking, plating, cashiering, and guest relations when GM/AM absent.
• Back up crew and cover breaks as needed.
• Ensure all food/beverages meet Yoshinoya specs, procedures, and safety handling requirements.
• Complete reports as directed by the General Manager.
• Follow proper merchandise storage and labeling procedures.
• Respond to customer complaints per policy; escalate refunds to management.
• Train staff and provide consistent feedback.
• Rotate items using FIFO (first in/first out).
• Enforce cash handling procedures consistently.
• Keep the restaurant clean and equipment functioning.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report injuries.
• Monitor and verify change funds.
• Communicate effectively with staff and management.
• Assist GM with coin orders, cash drops, sales counts, and deposits.
• Attend in-house seminars.
