Job summary

Bonrue Bakery in Utah is seeking a Shift Lead to blend frontline service with coaching and operations. You’ll run service with the team, oversee shift flow, and uphold brand standards from pastry case to cash drawer.

With 1–2 years in food service, you’ll lead under pressure, ensure cleanliness, manage money and shift reports, and train new teammates. Utah ServSafe certification and a willingness to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of food service or hospitality experience.
• Ability to lead a team and direct the shift under pressure.
• Maintain cleanliness and keep operations moving.
• Detail-oriented; comfortable handling money and shift reports.
• Friendly, reliable, and positive under fast pacing.
• Utah ServSafe certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Must be at least 18 years old and available for early mornings, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations during opening, mid, or closing shifts.
• Oversee all cleanliness including dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, etc.
• Support and direct FOH and BOH teams in real time.
• Monitor product quality, speed of service, and guest experience.
• Delegate tasks during service and keep team energy high.
• Perform accurate cash drawer counts and support end-of-day financial procedures.
• Execute shift checklists and ensure prep completion.
• Assist in training new team members and reinforcing brand expectations.
• Communicate wins, challenges, and team needs to the General Manager.
• Handle shift-level decisions including guest recovery, break coverage, and role adjustments.
