Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Alabama is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead and manage drive-in operations and staff during assigned shifts. This role is supervised by the General Manager/Operating Partner and requires hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• At least six months of restaurant management experience or one year of retail management experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (e.g., wage and hour laws; EEO laws, etc.).
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations.
• Basic computer, math, and reading skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving, multi-tasking, decision-making, leadership, time-management, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage drive-in employees during shift.
• Provide optimal guest experience and oversee drive-in operations during shift.
• Manage staffing levels during shift.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Handle guest issues and employee concerns during shift.
• Monitor and control food, labor, paper, and inventory for cost efficiency.
• Maintain drive-in records and ensure policy compliance.
• Perform all station duties as needed to meet standards.
• Ensure sanitation and cleanliness per guidelines.
