Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is hiring an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in operating the drive-in restaurant. You will train and coach team members, supervise shift operations, and ensure clean, safe, and efficient service with a customer-focused approach.

You will oversee staffing, inventory, and cost control, perform opening/closing duties, and handle administrative tasks. Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and can work irregular hours,

Qualifications

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead team members.
Experience training and supporting other employees to ensure quality service.

Responsibilities

Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
Monitors and enforces the employee handbook, policies and practices.
Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
Monitors staffing, inventory levels and food cost control, adjusting as needed.
Completes weekly inventory as needed.
Assists in administrative duties including records and documentation.
Reinforces a customer service mentality to focus on guests at all times.
Responds to guest requests and assists in resolving complaints.
