Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking a hands-on Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily drive-in operations in Monroeville, AL. You will train, coach and schedule Team/Carhop staff, ensuring fast, friendly service in a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, inventory management, and handling guest requests. The role requires versatile hours, solid communication, and a customer-focused mindset that drives sales and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team/Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet standards.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties and monitors staffing levels.
• Monitors inventory levels and food cost controls; completes weekly inventory.
• Responds to guest requests and resolves complaints with supervisor support.
