Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee daily drive-in operations and a team during shifts. This role involves leading staff, managing scheduling, and ensuring guest satisfaction while enforcing company policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, handling guest and employee issues, and maintaining records and sanitation to uphold quality and profitability. Minimum experience: restaurant or retail management.

Qualifications

• Six months of restaurant management experience or one year of retail management experience.
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• General restaurant or retail knowledge.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (e.g., wage and hour laws; EEO laws).
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving, multi-tasking, leadership, time-management, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage drive-in employees during shift.
• Lead drive-in operations to provide an optimal guest experience.
• Manage staffing levels during shift.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Handle guest issues/concerns during shift.
• Handle employee issues/concerns.
• Monitor food, labor, paper, and inventory to maximize cost-control and efficiency.
• Maintain drive-in records and assist with policy compliance.
• Perform station duties as needed to meet standards.
• Perform regular cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Ensure attendance and punctuality.
