Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services in New Jersey is seeking a dynamic Shift Supervisor to lead on-shift teams, deliver friendly, efficient service, and uphold brand standards across all duties.

You will train new team members, manage cash handling and POS operations, assist with food preparation and safety protocols, and ensure a smooth, positive experience for travelers at the plaza.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow all cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing and checking temperatures.
• Complete with kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training of new team members and follow brand standards and policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems; perform other tasks as assigned.
