Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead on-shift teams, ensure customer satisfaction, and uphold brand standards and food safety practices across the plaza.

The role includes training new hires, managing cash handling per policy, and supporting opening/closing procedures with daily tasks to maintain smooth operations for travelers at our NJ locations. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service and resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling: wrapping, labelling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperatures.
• Handle kitchen tasks: prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training of new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
