Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a reliable store associate to operate the store in the absence of management, handling cash, processing transactions, and preparing the sales floor for daily business. You will open back door for deliveries and ensure stockroom readiness.

You will engage customers, provide friendly service, and model Walgreens' service standards. This role also involves basic merchandising, inventory accuracy, pricing tasks, and compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (Except in Puerto Rico).
• Ability to open/close store and handle cash accurately.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of management, with cash handling responsibilities.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers by greeting and assisting with products and services; resolve issues.
• Hold store keys to open/close without management; assist vendor deliveries through backdoor.
• Record sales on registers, verify pricing, and manage voids; review exceptions.
• Assist with merchandising, displays, and pricing signage; support stock resets.
• Maintain inventory counts and stockroom accuracy; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with bookkeeping and basic financial tasks as needed.
• Ensure store cleanliness, signage, and readiness; communicate tasks when management is absent.
• Attend training; report disciplinary issues and customer complaints.
