Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a store associate responsible for opening and closing the store when management is not present, handling cash accurately, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for business. You will greet customers, assist with products and services, and uphold Walgreens service standards to deliver a distinctive experience.

The role also includes supporting backroom operations, pricing changes, merchandising, inventory accuracy, and compliance with store policies.

Qualifications

• One year of leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Able to manage cash handling and basic pricing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including required systems start-ups and cash handling.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change to cash registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers by greeting them and assisting with products and services; resolves questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with the team, including proactive help and servicing until satisfied.
• Manages store keys and opens/closes without management as needed; assists with deliveries through backdoor access.
• Reviews order exceptions and assists in reverse logistics and returns processes.
• Develops displays and completes resets for promotions and seasonal merchandise.
• Maintains accurate inventory, on-hand quantities, and proper pricing signage.
• Supports bookkeeping tasks, cash counts, and bill payments as requested.
• Ensures compliance with regulations for regulated products and bag checks of team members.
