Job summary

Applegreen in New Jersey seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts and ensure team members deliver excellent customer service while following brand standards and food safety requirements. You will train new hires and monitor cash handling compliance.

You will manage opening, daily and closing procedures, operate the POS system, and maintain product knowledge to support cross-selling and efficient store operations across the plaza.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per company policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Follow food safety procedures including labeling, dating, stocking, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks including prepping, cooking, packaging, wrapping and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards and all policies; report issues to plaza leadership.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
