Job summary

Johnny's Markets' Jimmy John's restaurant in Michigan is hiring an Assistant Manager to help run the store around the clock. You’ll support the Manager, enforce policies, and be in charge during second and third shifts when the Manager is away.

You’ll focus on service, safety, inventory, HR duties, and daily bank deposits, with 24/7 availability as needed. Join a family-owned Michigan chain that values community and everyday reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with staff, customers, supervisors.
• Detail oriented, adaptable and able to multi-task daily.
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel and email.
• English reading/writing and ability to interpret manuals.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Help the Jimmy John's Manager keep the facility clean, safe, well-supplied and well-staffed.
• Set the bar for excellent customer service and address complaints promptly.
• Control and maintain cash levels and help manage operating expenses and inventory.
• Handle HR duties including training, scheduling and supervising the team.
• Help order, receive and rotate stock and check in vendors.
• Follow franchise guidelines for pricing, displays and promotions.
• Rotate food according to franchise standards and report losses.
• Report maintenance, accidents, security issues and emergencies immediately.
• When the Manager is away, complete daily bookwork, deposits and verify change.
