Job summary

The Salvation Army in Chicago's North & Central Illinois Division seeks a Program Manager for the Emergency Homeless Assessment and Referral Center. You will supervise staff, oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with policies, and coordinate services with community partners to deliver high-quality housing support.

Responsibilities include documenting processes, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting timely client placements while reporting to the Program Director.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of or willingness to learn services for low-income families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program operations and staff during assigned shifts to ensure safe, trauma-informed service.
• Coordinate client services and timely placements with Case Management and shelter partners.
• Enter and maintain accurate HMIS data and prepare program reports for funders.
