Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division seeks a Street Outreach Program Coordinator to lead, coordinate, and improve citywide outreach efforts. You will supervise staff and volunteers, foster trauma-informed practices, and build strong community partnerships to deliver humane, effective services.

You will also oversee data collection, reporting, and budget management, while collaborating with Housing Services and local partners to address houselessness and related needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or human services required.
• Minimum one year of supervision experience in comparable social service programs.
• Certifications in HMIS and Coordinated Entry within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and evaluate street outreach program operations and staff performance.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with shelters, service providers, and community groups.
• Oversee data collection, reporting, and budgeting for outreach activities.
• Provide trauma-informed leadership and staff development for volunteers and team.
• Coordinate outreach responses during inclement weather and PIT counts.
