Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Anaheim Emergency Shelter. The role oversees day-to-day shelter operations, supervises Leads, Ambassadors and DOT drivers, and partners with the Program Supervisor to maintain resident welfare and compliance with TSA policies.

The position requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate vendors, schedules, training and performance assessments.

Qualifications

• MBA or Bachelor's in Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years of progressive experience managing facility operations and supervising staff.
• Knowledge of operations of a non-profit, faith-based organization or residential, group home and/or shelter facility experience preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year working with the homeless in a trauma informed setting preferred.
• Previous experience with HMIS or other tracking database systems preferred.
• First aid and CPR/AED certified a plus.
• Bilingual/Bi-literate English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop and directly supervise Operational Leads, Assistant Operational Leads, Ambassadors, and DOT drivers.
• Facilitate monthly all staff meetings.
• Schedule and oversee shuttle routes from AES and PNC to designated locations.
• Develop Ops Leads and Assistant Ops Leads as future successors.
• Oversee operations staff candidate selection, interviews, onboarding and training.
• Ensure operation staff are versed on policies, intake and guest welfare processes.
• Conduct weekly supervision meetings with direct reports and provide feedback.
• Oversee resident exits, write ups, and coordinate communication strategies.
