Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Supervisor for the Placentia Emergency Shelter to manage programming and daily operations, ensuring safe staffing and effective service delivery. You’ll build relationships with external agencies and TSA locations while upholding Christian mission values.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, training, scheduling, and policy management. The role requires leadership, budget awareness, and the ability to represent the organization publicly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-4 years experience working in a supervisory role.
• HMIS experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Drive the successful operation of a shelter environment, ensuring safety and successful transitions to housing, sobriety, or employment.
• Coordinate and oversee all special events for residents and staff, including holidays and recognitions.
• Oversee facilities cleanliness, maintenance, and site issues with facilities staff for prompt resolution.
• Directly supervise Lead Ambassadors, Housing case managers, facilities staff, and vendor relationships; co-supervise clinicians and pet-care.
